Woman Chops Off Her Cheating Husband's Penis

A northern Thailand woman chopped off her unfaithful husband’s penis and then drank pesticide to her death, as reported by the local police on Tuesday.

Narin Cherdyoo, a Phayao police officer also reported that she was confirmed dead on Monday at hospital in Phayao  province.

Kawinnart’s committed suicide happened shortly after she chopped off her 38-year-old husband’s manhood while he was asleep early Saturday, after she learned of his multiple infidelities. However, her husband, Niran Saewang, survived the attack.

He was transferred from Phayao to Lampang hospital, which is a three-hour drive, and had his penis reattached, a hospital staff confirmed to dpa.

Hospital staff in Phayao managed to retrieve Niran’s penis and froze it with ice during the hospital transfer, according to Lampang hospital.

This is not the first time Lampang hospital has had to deal with such a case, the hospital said, adding that all of the penis reattachment surgeries there had been successful.

Following the surgery  which was successfully completed  on Monday, the hospital staff said Niran is recuperating.

However, doctors said he could only urinate and will no longer be able to perform sexually again.

APC Dislodges PDP

The office of the Peoples Democratic Party in Enugu State has been taken over by The All Progressives Congress.
As reported by The Punch, a building on Chime Lane, a street in the GRA part of the Enugu metropolis, which had served as the secretariat of the PDP in Enugu State for several years, is now the office of the Enugu State chapter of the APC.
Flags, posters, banners, billboards and other paraphernalia of the PDP, which hitherto adorned the duplex, had been replaced with an APC signboard that proclaimed ‘All Progressives Congress, Change Has Come.’
The development followed the recent defection of a former Enugu State governor, Sullivan Chime, from the PDP to the APC.
Chime, who served as the governor of Enugu State on the platform of the PDP from 2007 to 2015, recently joined the APC after pronouncing the PDP ‘dead and buried.’
A PDP member in Enugu State, who pleaded anonymity, informed our correspondent that the  building actually belongs to Chime.
According to him, when Chime became governor of Enugu State, he ‘donated’ the building to the PDP, to serve as the party’s secretariat in the state.
Having left the PDP, after completing two terms as governor, Chime withdrew the building from the party and gave it to the APC, his new political party.
Shedding light on the development, the PDP source said, “Chime gave us (Enugu State PDP) the building when he became governor. We used the building as the Enugu State secretariat of the PDP all through the eight years that Chime served as governor of Enugu State.
“Now that he is no longer the governor, and having also joined another political party, he has taken the building from us and given it to the APC.
“He has the right to do what he did; we (PDP) already have a new secretariat, it is nothing to worry about,” the source said.
However, an APC member, who did not wish to be named, said the ‘takeover’ of the building would serve as a prelude to the party’s “imminent conquest of the seat of power in Enugu State in the 2015 governorship election.”
“The APC has come to stay in Enugu and we are going to take over the state in 2019, there is no going back,” the APC member added in a chat with our correspondent.
Enugu State, home of the highest-ranking PDP member, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, is generally regarded as a ‘PDP state.’

Two Young Men were Given 85 Strokes for Homosexuality

In the Indonesian province of Aceh, two young men have been beaten with cane at 85 times each after they have been caught having sex.

Photo: Junaidi

These men stood on stage in white gowns praying while a team of hooded men lashed their backs with a cane.
The duo, aged 20 and 23, were found in bed together by vigilantes who entered their private accommodation in March. They have not been identified.

Although, the men were sentenced to 85 strokes but the number was reduced by two because they had spent two months in detention. However, gay sex is not illegal in most of Indonesia but it is in Aceh, the only province which exercises Islamic law.

It is the first-time gay men have been caned under Sharia law in the province. The punishment was delivered outside a mosque in the provincial capital of Banda Aceh.

A large crowd of observers cheered as the caning took place. “Let this be a lesson to you,” one of the men watching cried out. “Do it harder,” another man yelled.
I met one of the young men in jail a day before the caning, the first journalist to speak to him.
He was terrified and his whole body was shaking. He was thin, pale and had a red rash on his skin.
Inmates surrounded us with intimidating glares as we tried to talk. I thought we were going to be speaking in a private room, but he was not granted that.

Before neighbourhood vigilantes broke down the door to his rented room, he was in his final years of a medical degree and his plan was to be a doctor. Now, it has been reported that the university has kicked him out.

jashow.org
An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan on Wednesday sentenced a 30-year-old man, Yusuf Nasiru, to death by hanging for strangulating and hacking to death a six-year-old girl.
Justice Eni Esan held that the evidence before the court proved that Nasiru was guilty of murder.
Esan said the Prosecutor, Abdualah Olawale, was able to prove the charge of murder against the accused.
He said: “The accused is an evil man that deserves no mercy for terminating the life of a six-year-old girl; he deserves the full wrath of the law.
“He is hereby sentenced to death by hanging until he dies.’’

He said Nasiru had picked up the victim from a road close to her school and killed her.
Olawale said: “After the accused killed her, he cut her body into several pieces and put them in a sack.
“The remains of the body were discovered after three days in the house of the accused in Moniya area of Ibadan after his neighbour noticed that a bad odour was oozing from his house.’’
Olawale said the accused ran away when he discovered that his neighbour had reported the matter to the police and was later arrested in Sokoto State.

Facebook to pay 110m euro fine for deceit

(Reuters/NAN) European Union (EU) antitrust regulators on Thursday said they would fine Facebook 110 million euros (122.4 million dollars) for providing misleading information over its purchase of messaging service WhatsApp in 2014.
Calling it a “proportionate and deterrent fine,” the European Commission, which acts as the EU’s competition watchdog, said Facebook had said it could not automatically match user accounts on its namesake platform and WhatsApp but two years later launched a service that did exactly that.
“The Commission has found that, contrary to Facebook’s statements in the 2014 merger review process, the technical possibility of automatically matching Facebook and WhatsApp users’ identities already existed in 2014, and that Facebook staff were aware of such a possibility,” the Commission said.
The commission added that the fine would not reverse the Commission’s decision to clear the purchase of WhatsApp and was unrelated to separate investigations into data protection issues.
Reuters reported on Wednesday that Facebook was set to be fined.

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrests 50 commercial drivers over Speed Limiting Device

According to NAN, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara has arrested more than 50 commercial drivers for failure to install the  on their vehicles.

The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr Sunday Maku, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in llorin on Wednesday. Maku said the violators were arrested across the three senatorial districts of the state while on their way to neighouring states.

He said enforcement of the device was a continuous exercise, and that it was aimed at reducing road accidents to the barest minimum. He urged commercial drivers in the state to install the device on their vehicles to avoid arrest. He said the command would further intensify its enlightenment campaign on the necessity of the use of the device by commercial drivers.

The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Kwara branch, Alhaji Aliyu lssa- Ore, however, told NAN that the union’s members were not among the 50 arrested by the corps. Issa-Ore said the union had been sensitising its members to the importance of the device to road safety.

According to NAN, it was recalled  that the FRSC said the concept of speed limiting was informed by the high rates of car crashes that occur on a daily basis in the country. It noted that in recent times studies had proved that road traffic accidents claim more lives than the deadly Malaria Fever.

"As part of its commitment to manage Road Traffic in Nigeria, Federal Road Safety Commission has identified speeding as a major contributing factor to the high level of Road Traffic Accidents and attendant causalities in Nigerian Roads," it said.

In addition to this, in order to create a safer motoring environment across the country, Federal Road Safety Commission in line with the resolutions reached with Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), National Automotive Design and Development Council of Nigeria (NADDC), and other stakeholders has made it compulsory for all vehicles nationwide especially and starting with commercial vehicles (buses, trailers, tankers and trucks) to install Speed Limiting Devices with a deadline of October 1st, 2016.

GAVI global vaccine alliance said on Friday some 300,000 emergency doses of an Ebola vaccine developed by Merck could be available in case of a large-scale outbreak, after the WHO confirmed a fatal case in Congo.

"I wish to remind you that nobody forced you to buy those assets and you knew what you were buying." - Fashola told DISCOs

Yesterday, May 8, 2017, Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, warned Distribution Companies, DISCOs, to stop the blame game on infrastructure, and run the assets they inherited in line with their privatization.

Fashola, who spoke at the 15th edition of the monthly power sector operators meeting in Jos, Plateau State, said the assets were not forced on the DISCOs, since they knew what they acquired.

He said: “You must do more to improve service, rather than complain about old infrastructure.  I wish to remind you that nobody forced you to buy those assets and you knew what you were buying.

“The N701.9 billion intervention fund is consistent with government’s policy and determination to enable businesses flourish, and it was intended to save the Gencos, the gas companies and their financiers who were providing service, from collapse.”

Fashola condemned DISCOs’ media campaign against the government’s support at ensuring a vibrant power sector.

“Your statement did not tell members of the public that these companies were not getting paid because you were not remitting all you should remit to NBET and the market operator, admittedly because of reasons that are partly and not partly your fault. “When I convened the first of these monthly meetings, it was entirely voluntary and nobody was under compulsion to attend.

As I have done at almost every previous meeting, I will now ask you all again to vote whether we should continue the meeting. “If the outcome of the vote is to discontinue the meetings, this will be my valedictory statement to the meeting.

Also, if the outcome of the vote is to continue the meetings, then I will demand that this meeting must remain the platform for ventilating and resolving issues relating to the sector without prejudice to other meetings that the regulator may convene.

“I regret that I will not deal with an association because the Bureau of Public Enterprises, BPE, acting for the National Council on Privatization, NCP, did not contract the asset sales and performance agreements with an association and neither did Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission grant you licenses as an association.

“Government will continue to relate with you as such, through meetings such as this, or individually to ensure that you discharge your duties to consumers.

“I am certain that NBET (the Bulk Trader) and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, your regulator, will communicate a similar position to you,” the minister said. Earlier in his opening remarks, Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman, Jos Electricity Distribution Company, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, expressed satisfaction over the Minister’s ability to transform the power sector from its current crisis.
