President Donald Trump Plans to End Birthright Citizenship with an Executive Order

Dear Friends,

If you are considering going abroad precisely the U.S.A to have your baby, you need to have a re-think.

Earlier today, President Donald Trump had said in an interview that he plans to sign an executive order to end "birthright citizenship" for the children of non-American citizens who are birthed into the United States of America. This move has been considered as that which would likely be challenged immediately in the courts over its constitutionality.

Trump told Axio on HBO during an interview to be aired on Sunday, exactly two days to the midterm electon:

"It was always told to me that you needed a constitutional amendment. Guess what? You don't, "You can definitely do it with an act of Congress. But now they're saying I can do it just with an executive order."

"We're the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits," Trump said in an interview for "Axios on HBO." Several other countries, including Canada, have a policy of birthright citizenship, according to an analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates for reducing immigration.

"It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. And it has to end."

The World's Renowned Evangelist Billy Graham Dies at 99

The Rev. Billy Graham whose sermons were broadcast in churches around the country, has died, a spokesman confirmed to CBS News. He was 99.
In the summer of 2005, Graham preached at what he called his "Final Crusade."
Graham said: "Deep inside we need something else. And that something else can be brought about by Jesus."
"When I touch the podium, I can feel a new strength and a new power come and it's a thrilling thing for me to preach the gospel at this age," Graham said.
The three-day event in New York City was the culmination of a lifetime of evangelism -- seven decades of spreading the gospel to more than 200 million people in 185 countries around the world.
Graham once said: "Jesus Christ, the son of God, has an answer to every problem that you face!"
Raised in the fundamentalist faith of his native North Carolina, Graham dedicated his life to Christ when he was 16, and was ordained a Baptist minister in 1939. He created his own brand of populist evangelism. His "crusades," as he called them, were soon attracting millions in person and later through television.
"We are United, and are ready to march under the banner of Almighty God, taking as our slogan that which we have on our coins, 'In God We Trust,'" Graham once said.
Before long, Graham set his sights on the rest of the world, and took his "crusades" to Europe, Africa, India, the Far East. A staunch anti-Communist, one of his cherished ambitions was to bring the gospel message to the officially atheist countries behind the Iron Curtain.
"I would say 80 to 90 percent of the Russian people believe in God. And they've had communism now for all these many years, but it-- they still believe in God," Graham said.
Graham's wife, Ruth, the daughter of medical missionaries, was raised in China. In 1988, the Grahams traveled there to encourage its fledgling Christian community.
"You have a great modernization program in China, and it's my prayer that there will be a great moral modernization program -- program, also," Graham said.
Graham became a counselor and confidante to every American president, beginning with Harry Truman, but Graham himself denied he had a role in making policy. He said: "I don't advise them, I pray with them."
He blessed their inaugurations, dedicated their libraries and presided over their funerals.
"You know, few events touch the heart of every American as profoundly as the death of a president. For the president is our leader. And every American feels that he knows him in a very special way," Graham said.
Graham's friendship with Richard Nixon dated back to the early 1950s, but it was tested by the Watergate scandal and the release of secretly recorded White House tapes.
"I'd never heard him use any of those words. I didn't know he knew them, some of them that came out on the tapes," Graham said.
Despite his proximity to power, Graham was resolutely non-partisan, fearing that political favoritism would damage his ministry -- a ministry that was never touched by the kind of scandal that destroyed those of televangelists like Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart.
Graham's ethics and his emphasis on cooperation among different faiths earned him widespread respect.
In moments of national crisis, such as the Oklahoma City bombing, Graham was sought out for his ability to comfort and console with simplicity and eloquence.
"We've been reminded that a cruel event like this, which so vividly demonstrates the depths of human evil, also brings out the best of us," Graham said.
Former presidents honored Graham by attending the dedication of his library in North Carolina.
It is there that he will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Ruth. They were married 64 years. At her funeral he said, "We were called by God as a team."
Graham looked ahead to the end of his life with enormous faith.
Graham said: "I've been asked so many times lately, do I fear death? No! I look forward to death, with great anticipation.  I'm looking forward to seeing God face to face."

Africa Prudential Revolutionises Registrar Services, Launches “Personal Registrar USSD *4018#

In line with its determination to dominate and redefine the landscape of registrar service delivery in the country, Africa Prudential Plc, has unveiled her new USSD code, *4018# tagged “Personal Registrar”.

The USSD code, *4018#, which was unveiled in Lagos on Wednesday enables shareholders to perform  a lot of tasks including checking their outstanding dividend, shareholding balance, confirming bank mandate right from their mobile phones from the comfort of their homes, work places or leisure.  With the code, shareholders can also check postal and email addresses from their mobile phones.

Speaking about the product, the Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Peter Ashade, explained that the service, which is available round the clock, works on all kinds of mobile phones and networks, and does not require internet data, adding that shareholders only need to dial the code to access the service environment.

He noted that the “Personal Registrar” was developed by the company in its drive to persistently pursue exceptional service experience and is borne out of its culture of excellence and persistent drive to improving investors’ confidence in the market, adding, “We continuously embark on product development and process improvement to deliver exceptional customer experience to our clients across sectors of the economy, while exciting the Nigerian capital market as a whole.”

Ashade stated further that at the announcement of the company’s change of name from Africa Prudential Plc to Africa Prudential Registrars Plc in 2017, it was emphasized that the name change does not imply its exit from registrar business but was rather to enable it extend service offerings to other sectors of the economy by leveraging technology, one of which is the just launched USSD code *4018#.

Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom, a Non-Executive Director, stressed that the development of the product was not just about Africa Prudential, but remains a plus for the entire registrar business in Nigeria and encouraged other players in the market to follow suit in breaking new grounds.

Mrs. Bridget Bayo-Ajayi, Head, Business Development, who also addressed key capital market stakeholders at the event,  encouraged shareholders whose mobile numbers have not been duly registered on the company’s database to execute a shareholder data update form for their mobile numbers to enjoy the service.

Representing shareholders at the event, Mrs. Bisi Bakare of Pragmatic Shareholders Association, lauded Africa Prudential for putting shareholders convenience first by launching the first-of-its-kind product in registrars business.

It would be recalled, among others that the company was named the Best Registrar Firm in West Africa by Africa-Canada Trade Alliance at the 7th Edition of the West Africa Innovation and Excellence Awards in 2017 in recognition of outstanding innovations and advocacy role in the Capital Market.
